The Floor Coverings International Production Coordinator is responsible for meeting and exceeding customer expectations throughout the installation of their new floor. This position is critical to ensuring that customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably. The Production Coordinator is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem solving, and organization along with some technical responsibilities. An eye for detail is the key to making sure that each project looks great before being revealed to the customer. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient and takes ownership of the role.

A day in the life could include:

Setting expectations with customers about the installation and its impact on their daily life
Actively working to improve produced profit margin through job costing reports and sourcing high-quality installers and local suppliers with reasonable rates
Managing the installation schedule to accommodate both customers and installers
Making sure we deliver on any commitments made during the Sales process
Ordering products needed for jobs accurately and coordinating delivery & acclimation
Obtaining job sundries such as adhesive or quarter round
Communicating with customers and installers daily about job progress
Confirming scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job

Skills:

1+ years of experience with home improvement, bonus points if in flooring installation. This can be managing installers or installing floors yourself
Attention to detail, especially when working across multiple sites simultaneously
Great communicator. Must be comfortable speaking to customers in their own home.
Spanish language fluency preferred
Ability to lift 80 lbs. on occasion.
Work with hand tools, power tools, paints, stains, and finishes
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Compensation and Work Hours

This is a full-time salaried position that will be compensated commensurate with experience and qualifications - $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
Compensation is paid via direct deposit twice monthly. FCI does not currently provide healthcare, but a stipend will be provided
General hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, varying depending on installation timelines. Weekend hours are rare, but necessary on occasion.
