The Floor Coverings International Production Coordinator is responsible for delivering the installation of a job to the level of expectation set in the sale of the project. This position is the key to ensuring that customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably.
Position Overview:
As the Production Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of flooring installation projects from start to finish. You’ll manage multiple installations at once, oversee independent teams, and ensure that each project meets our high-quality standards and is completed to manufacturer specifications. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of the flooring installation process, and the ability to manage customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee multiple flooring installation projects simultaneously, ensuring each is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead independent installation teams, holding them accountable for adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout the project.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless project transitions from booking to installation.
- Review and verify that all materials and tools are available for each job, ensuring no delays in the installation process.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure completed work meets company and manufacturer standards.
- Manage client feedback and post-installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ordering all material needed for jobs from multiple vendors, ensuring correct amount of material ordered using tools like CarpetSquare.
- Job costing to ensure we are charging correctly for materials and sundries.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in flooring installation or a related construction field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a project coordination or supervisory role, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for communication, tracking, and documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead and hold independent installation teams accountable for quality and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage customer relations and internal teams.
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot on the fly while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction and project completion.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Good driving record and current license.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
