Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 + Bonus Opportunities

We’re a female-owned, fast-growing Floor Coverings International franchise bringing a personalized, high-touch flooring experience to our local community. As our Office Manager, you won’t just “manage tasks” — you’ll help shape the heartbeat of the business and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer journey.

You’ll wear many hats in this dynamic role: overseeing daily operations, coordinating schedules, supporting marketing initiatives, engaging with customers over the phone, and ensuring every detail runs smoothly behind the scenes. Your ideas won’t just be welcomed — they’ll help define how we grow. Experience in flooring, construction, or home improvement is a strong plus and will help you thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do:
Be the Heart of the Customer Experience
  • Serve as the friendly face and voice of our business, ensuring every customer has a seamless, 5-star experience.
  • Schedule appointments for our Design Associates and follow up on open proposals to keep projects moving forward.
  • Support and execute local marketing initiatives to grow brand awareness.
  • Represent Floor Coverings International at home shows and community events (occasional evenings/weekends).
Keep the Business Running Smoothly
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming office environment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and partner with bookkeeper to keep QuickBooks updated daily (required).
  • Update Salesforce daily with job progress and scheduling (training provided).
  • Manage team calendars, marketing activities, and Owner commitments.
  • Meet weekly with the Owner to review sales, align on project timelines, and ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Take ownership of key operational and administrative functions so the Owner can focus on growth and revenue.

Melissa is proud to be the newest female franchise owner in Chicago, and she is thrilled to officially open her doors this May. After an impressive 20-year career in consumer brand marketing—where she led strategy and growth for some of the nation’s top personal care and food brands—Melissa is channeling her experience, leadership, and passion into building something of her own right here in the city she loves.

Throughout her corporate career, Melissa built and led high-performing teams, drove brand expansion, and delivered measurable growth. While she found great success in that world, the desire to create a business rooted in her local community ultimately inspired her entrepreneurial leap. She is energized by the opportunity to grow her own business in Chicago, serve local families, and build a team that shares her vision for excellence.

As she prepares for launch, Melissa is actively seeking someone to join her in the early stages of the business—an individual who is excited to help lay the foundation, grow alongside her, and be part of something special from day one.

Melissa and her husband, Anthony, have called Chicago home for the past 10 years. They love raising their two young daughters in the city and are deeply invested in their community. When she’s not working or spending time with her girls, Melissa enjoys cooking, staying active, and exploring new restaurants around Chicago with Anthony.

With her strong business acumen, community focus, and entrepreneurial spirit, Melissa is poised to make a meaningful impact—both professionally and personally—as she embarks on this exciting new chapter.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
