Floor Coverings International of Milwaukee North, is looking for a top-notch Operations Coordinator to add to our team.
Who We Are:
We are a locally owned, residential flooring company that sells and installs a variety of flooring materials ranging from carpet, to hardwood, to vinyl flooring. We work very hard to ensure that we are providing the best possible flooring experience for our customers throughout the Milwaukee area and beyond. Job Summary:
The FCI Operations Coordinator is the key to ensuring customers have a positive experience and jobs are produced both efficiently and profitably. The Operations Coordinator is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem solving, and organization along with technical responsibilities. The position works independently and requires someone who is fast paced, highly detailed and organized. The ideal candidate is efficient, productive and able to think two steps ahead of what is needed.
The Role:
-Report daily to our Brown Deer Warehouse
-Be responsible for every flooring project from start to finish
-Order all product needed for each project
-Receive all deliveries including use of a forklift & pallet jack
-Organize, label & stage products by job/project
-Communicate expectations, scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job
-Communicate with customers and installers to coordinate installation dates
-Set expectations with customers on installation process, impact to their daily lives and the condition of their home during installation (ie furniture moves etc)
-Provide daily updates to customers regarding their installation
-Complete job site visits to check in with installers and customers
-Deliver on expectations contracted in the sales process-dates/times/products/installation etc
- Walk customers through job at completion and collect final payment
- Resolve customer complaints with urgency
- Assist installation crews with anything necessary to finish projects and ensure a clean jobsite
-Ensure all work order changes are reflected accurately in each project invoice
Other Duties
- Work Home Show booths as needed (3 Spring, 1 Fall), which includes weekend hours
- Lifting up to 80 lbs. on occasion
- Work with hand tools
- Paint, stain & finish trim pieces
- Keep warehouse and company vehicles organized and presentable
- Be available to attend training as needed
- Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods
- Responsible to ensure quick production of jobs to hit weekly and monthly sales goals
- Make decisions and act in accordance with FCI’s core values and mission
-Answer calls and be able to answer customer questions
Compensation and Work Hours
This is a full-time salaried position that will be compensated commensurate with experience and
qualifications - $45,000 - $55,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities.
General hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, varying depending on daily production work flow. Weekend hours are rare, but necessary on occasion.
